Laboratory for Embedded
Collaborative Systems (LECS) -- Information
Boelter Hall, home of LECS
The Laboratory for Embedded Collaborative
Systems was founded in August 2000 by Professor Deborah
Estrin. It is located in Room 3440 of the Boelter Hall. Pervasive micro-sensing
and actuation will revolutionize the way we understand and construct complex
physical systems. The Laboratory of Embedded Collaborative Systems focuses
on the architectural challenges posed by massively distributed, large scale,
physically-coupled, and usually untethered and small-form-factor computing
systems. Through prototype implementations and simulation we explore such
issues as: data diffusion protocols, localization, time synchronization,
low-power wireless communications and self-configuration. Information on
the Laboratory Sponsorship can be found on the Sponsors
page.
